APTA’s Mission:
To establish a cohesive interactive community of practitioners, educators and schools that inspire and facilitate Polarity Therapy as an expanded form of wellness care, through community outreach, research, marketing, and standards of excellence.
The information below are the qualifications and responsibilities of active Board Members. If you would like to be considered as a candidate by the Nomination Committee, please complete and submit the application form before April 22, 2026.
Elections will take place in early-May.
Qualifications for Board Candidates:
Board candidates must be APTA members in good standing, have reliable e-mail access and be computer savvy. Candidates to serve on the Board will have a collaborative spirit with a desire and impetus to help APTA grow and thrive. Individuals with organizational experience along with other relevant skills such as fundraising, marketing, social media, membership development and event planning would be helpful. Prior experience serving on a committee or project is a plus.
Expectations of a Member of the Board of Directors:
• Keep Board business confidential.
• Attend and actively participate in monthly Board meetings.
• Support Board decisions and votes.
• Check and respond to emails, calls, messages, and texts within 24 hours.
• Actively participate on an APTA committee.
• Contribute approximately 8-10 hours a month of Committee and Board tasks.
• Attend in-person Board meetings.
• Attend conferences sponsored by APTA.
Any Directors elected in 2026 will serve a term of 3 years from July 2026-June 2029. Any nominated individual must be an APTA member in good standing.
We encourage you to volunteer for a board position. Only through our collaborative efforts, will we be able to continue building a strong, active, and successful association.
