Completion of this application, including supporting documentation, and fee must be submitted 15 days prior to the certification expiration date. 

To maintain active BCPP status in good standing, practitioners are required to obtain 15 continuing education units (CEUs) within the 2-year certification period. Courses, classes and/or research which expand the knowledge and augment the abilities of a BCPP will be considered for CEU credits. Content provided in eligible CEU activities must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Up to 7.5 hours can be anything that improves their ability as a practitioner;
  • A minimum of 7 hours need to be classes that include sessions on the Polarity Practitioner domains
  • A minimum of .5 in Ethics. 

This means that in order to perform the job of a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner, the practitioner needs to be well versed in the following domains. Qualifying CEUs do not have to be Polarity classes but need to cover these topics:

  1. Prepare for the Session
  2. Establish Therapeutic Rapport
  3. Assess the Client
  4. Determine Treatment Strategy
  5. Perform Treatment
  6. Practice Ethically (.5 minimum)

Types of professionally related continuing education activities that are considered acceptable are listed below. One CEU credit is awarded for each clock hour of class/participation time.

  1. Health and wellness conferences offered by APTA or other organizations 
  2. Offerings from APTA ATMs or RPEs
  3. Local workshops
  4. Online courses
  5. Research (article, book, or literary review) which includes the current knowledge, substantive findings, as well as theoretical and methodological contributions to the field of Polarity Therapy. Research essays must be 500 words in length and count as 1 CEU total. Only 1 of these will be allowed per recertification period.
  6. Tele-conference presentations and webinars provided and documented by an RPE or BCPP who has 2 or more years of experience. 

Qualifying CEU documentation includes the following information:

  1. Type of Continuing Education Activity
  2. Title of Continuing Education Activity
  3. Host Organization
  4. Date & Location Completed
  5. # of CEUs Obtained – minimum of 15 hours
  6. Identify CEUs by domain;
      General – up to 7.5 hours
      Polarity practitioner – minimum of 7 hours
      Ethics – minimum of .5 hours
