APTA is a membership association that guides and directs Polarity Therapy education and training, and governs the Board Certification process for Polarity Practitioners.

APTA is not a licensing body.  Licensing is the responsibility of state and local agencies, who control licensing and scope of practice rules. In many regions, the practice of Polarity Therapy is unregulated or unlicensed; however, laws vary by jurisdiction.

APTA solely endorses the Board Certified Polarity Practitioner (BCPP) as conferring any right to practice Polarity Therapy as an independent discipline and Polarity Practitioner. Any questions as to what education or credentials are legally required to practice Polarity Therapy should be directed to the state or local government where you intend to practice.

APTA does not endorse the APP or RPP level of education as qualifying an individual to independently practice Polarity Therapy.  The APP and RPP levels of education are solely issued by APTA; recognizing levels of training that a course provides and a student has completed.
